Yoga classes in Kent
Yoga classes near Canterbury for every body
Friendly, unhurried classes that leave you feeling stronger, calmer and lighter. No experience or flexibility needed, just you and your mat.
My teaching
Make the yoga work for you
I’ve been teaching yoga for over 15 years, in Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Korea and now here in England. The one thing I’ve learned everywhere is that yoga is for everyone.
My first classes were in a leisure centre back home in Kazakhstan, and I loved them. Years later I trained as a teacher in India, and I’ve taught in gyms and yoga studios ever since. Some of my students are complete beginners, some have practised for years, and many arrive feeling stiff, tired or a little unsure.
In my classes, every pose is made available to you. If something doesn’t suit your body today, I’ll show you another way. We move, we breathe, we build strength, and we let go of everyday worries. What people tell me they love most is simply how they feel afterwards.
I’m also studying positive psychology at Harvard, because I believe looking after the body and the mind together is what keeps us happy in everyday life. You’ll feel that in every class.

In every class
A little time for body and mind
- Breath
- Movement
- Strength
- Relaxation
What a class looks like
An hour that gives back more than it takes
Every class is different, but this is the shape most of them follow.
- 01
Arrive and breathe
We start slowly, with simple breathing to settle the mind and leave the day at the door.
- 02
Move and warm up
Gentle movement wakes up the joints and muscles, so your body is ready for what comes next.
- 03
Build strength and balance
Flowing postures with options for every level. Take the easier version or the stronger one: both are right.
- 04
Rest and let go
We finish with a long, calm relaxation. Most people leave lighter than they came in.

Yoga class questions
Do I need any yoga experience?
No. My classes welcome complete beginners, and I always show easier and stronger options so everyone can work at their own level.
I’m not flexible. Can I still do yoga?
Yes. Flexibility is something yoga gives you, not something you need before you start. I’ll help you adapt every pose so it works for your body.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear something comfortable you can move in, and bring water. Bring your own mat if you have one; if not, ask me before your first class.
What kind of yoga do you teach?
My classes combine flowing postures, strength and balance work, breathing and relaxation. The focus is on how you feel afterwards, not on getting a pose perfect.
Can I come if I’m pregnant or have an injury?
Please tell me before class about any injury, health condition or pregnancy, and check with your GP or midwife if you’re unsure. I’ll suggest adaptations, or a private lesson may suit you better.
